April - FTX DELTA
Time & Location
About the event
Attendance for FTX DELTA is considered mandatory for Unit Leadership and expected for Unit Membership, according to the Event Attendance Guidelines set forth by the Unit S.O.P. (standard operating procedures)
If you were not in attendance at one of the FTX CHARLIE events, it is considered highly important that you attend FTX DELTA. You will be at a significant knowledge disadvantage moving into ECHO / FOXTROT if you do not attend this event.
We will be breifly re-iterating the structure, outline, and mission plan for the unit. We will review changes and amendments to our Unit S.O.P. as well as the expectations and requirements for our new unit members. We will have some additional printed materials for everyone to review and add to your Unit S.O.P. Books.
There will be recruits patched into the unit, as well as some members receiving rank promotions.
Continuing on course with the team level tactics we employed at BRAVO & CHARLIE, we will begin the administration of squad level tactics and the fundamentals of force-on-force increased range CQB, advance & react to contact drills, break from contact drills, co-ordinated squad & team movement, as well as basic weapon handling techniques in joint team manuevers.
We will have a brief classroom style T-CCC instruction and demonstration on Care Under Fire Tactics and Tactical Field Care Procedures. As well as separate catch up courses for members that did not make it to our TCCC instructions at BRAVO & CHARLIE.
We will be administering an in-depth Communications & Signaling course where we will demonstrate and practice the proper operation and usage of our uhf/vhf radios, proper radio transmission etiquette and protocol, as well as unit hand signals and techniques. We will be integrating these comms standards into squad and team level training moving forward, so bring a pen and notebook to take notes.
This will be a LIVE FIRE TRAINING EVENT
Estimated round expenditure will be no more than 100 Rounds Pistol and 100 Rounds Rifle.
Upon arriving at the A.O. .....
Only patched members are permitted to carry a holstered handgun on unit training property. As a patched member you may have a loaded magazine inserted into the handgun, but no round in the chamber. Non-patched recruits must place their handguns on the designated pistol table, slide locked, and flagged until instructed to retrive it for a training course.
No members are to have slung a loaded rifle AT ANY TIME unless instructed to load & make ready their rifles for a training course. Chamber flags will be handed out upon sign-in and you are required to have it inserted into the breach at all times the rifle is not loaded. Upon arrival all member rifles are to be placed on the designated rifle rack, safety engaged, bolt locked to the rear, & chamber flag inserted in the breach.
Also you will show up to FTX DELTA in your DRESS UNIFORM but will later change over into BATTLE UNIFORM so bring both.....recruits that do not have their uniforms purchased yet can show up to train in normal street clothes appropriate for desert firearms training.
Also everyone give a one over on your kit and make sure that you are comfortably able to get in and out of a vehicle on both the passenger and driver side of a truck with your current setup.....as we will be doing vehicle convoy & contact maneuvers later in the day.....
Don't be the guy that can't get in the Jeep because you have too much shit on or the guy that gets snagged getting out of the Jeep because your shit isn't secure
